Book Review
Treasure Island
Author: Robert Louis Stevenson
Recommend for 8 and older
Treasure Island is a great book. It has piratcy, action adventure. It's a book that is definitely a thriller. Robert Louis Stevenson did a fantastic job at creating this book to be full of hardship. I love how Jim is obnoxious and tries to do the best for his friends. He is a great character and tries to do the right thing. I loved how the doctor didn’t trust John Silver and thoroughly kept on saying sarcastic comments on keeping promises and kept saying his mind about him even when he is near ear shot. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it definitely was a good classic, and I hope you enjoy this book.
Parents: There are a few things to be wary of in this book. Scary scenes, death, piratecy, and greed. The scary scenes are scary and there is death in some of them. The piratcy has some superstitious moments but not to where I wouldn’t recommend it to 8 and older. The greed is pretty self explanatory of pirates to go to any end to get money. Other than those few things I said I think this book can be enjoyable. If you want a younger reader to read this book I recommend reading it first to see if it's to your standards of what you think the child should read about. Overall It is a brilliant story and I recommend it!
