Left Behind Book Report
Tim Lahaye and Jerry B. Jenkins
Good Stuff/ Biblical
This book I recommend for 13 and older
Left behind is a beautifully crafted book created by two phoenmal christans. The first book in the series, Tim LayHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins are the authors of this christan book. As there is a movie based on the book there is also a kids version of Left behind. What I like most about this book is the character arc’s for Rayford Steel, Chloe Steele, and Buck Williams. They start off as non christans wrapped up in grief by the vanishings and of other matters. One of my favorite scenes is when Rayford, and Chloe meet Buck, especially the cookie scene. I especially love Rayford’s character arc from the beginning of this book to the end of it. I loved how they exposed the Truth of God in a brilliant and thrilling way. It's intense with drama, hardship, and the beginning of new friendships and relationships. I could hardly say anything bad about this book to be honest. Its imagery of emotions. The feelings of people as they live through events prophesied in the Bible is BRILLIANT! The prophecies of 1 world currency for money, Babylon turning into New Babylon. And the Antichrist. Heed my words carefully, whoever “world leader” says they demand all nations of the world under one banner for peace is a fool. For he is an antichrist. Maybe not the antichrist but nevertheless an antichrist. Read the Bible for it will guide you, teach you and reprimanded you for the better. I think these brilliant authors did amazing and that God put his words into their hands as they created Left Behind.
Parent caution
What I would most caution young people on this book is, scary scenes, death, deception from antichrist, suicide, murdur, talks about stuff that kids should not read until older, and yearning for a love relationship. There is no kissing in this book. They only mention suicide. But murdur is definitely scripted. Overall it is a fantastic book and I recommend it for 13 and up.
I rate this book 6 ½ Bixbi’s
