Book Review
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Author: J.K. Rowling
This book is the third in the Harry Potter franchise. It has a movie based on the book. This book is for all ages. What I like most about this book is that it goes deeper into Harry’s ancestry. You meet characters who have some things to do with his parents. And you also get more input on Harry’s biggest fears, morality, loyalty, bravery, and his mind to solve mysteries. What is also nice is that J.K Rowling incorporated in this book on how Harry’s emotions are explained and empathized. She sets the tone right and keeps the thrill of adventure even when this year of Hogwarts is very different from the previous years. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
Things to be Cautioned
What to be warned of about this book: black magic, bullying, ghosts, scary scenes, and criminals/ villains. Being a Christan conservative I can see why some of you would be hesitant for your child to read this book. So if your child has a strong imagination much like my own, let them read the book after you read it yourself. If you get scared easily when reading I would ask a friend or family member what they thought about the book before you get to reading. But if you are adventurous then read this book front to back!
Scale
I rate this book
4 ¾ of Bixby’s
