Book Review
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Author: J.K Rowling
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is the second book in the Harry Potter series and also has a movie series. It continues the one of a kind series about the boy who lived. This book I recommend to children and adults. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets has mystery, suspense, the important history of the magic world, crime, and the introduction to a full-of-himself professor named Gilderoy Lockhart. What I like most about this book is the mystery unfolding in your hands as you embark on Harry’s journey a second time. One of my favorite things, J.K Rowling is really good at writing Harry’s realization that he must do something to save his classmates or it might be the end of Hogwarts.
Warnings for Parents
What to be warned about in this book is black magic, ghosts, (including Moaning Myrtle a child ghost), bullying, scary scenes. If you are a conservative person I caution you. From Being a Christian I can see why you may be leery of letting your child read this. What I think is the most important thing to be warned about is the diary. It has dark magic in it.
Scale
4 ½ Bixby out of 5
