Book Review
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
Author: Anne Ursu
Breadcrumbs is a poetic book. It is sad, happy, and meaningful. I love how Anne Ursu made many good similes and metaphors that give the book a good description of the events occurring. Hazel is an amazing character going on a quest to save her best friend Jack. It's amazing how she has so much endurance to go on a quest when the cold is frost bite worthy and all hope is lost. And whenever Hazel thinks of old childhood memories with Jack it makes my heart swell. I like that there are some pictures in this book that give good descriptions of the characters. I personally enjoyed this book. It proves that if you have a best friend then they will go to the ends of the earth to help you in any way possible. Hazel shows this to Jack in the highest regard, which is amazing. I thoroughly loved this book and would love it if Anne Ursu made a second book.
Parents: There are few things to be wary of in this book but there are some, magic, bullying. The magic is mostly like “Alice in Wonderland” or “Narnia” for bullying people who only call her names. Also someone may throw a pencil case at someone. I enjoyed this book but I wish the ending would show that Hazel and Jack’s relationship as Bff’s was back to normal.
Scale: **** 4 Bixby’s
